So Many Thankfuls
The Parts of Life That Matter Most
Wow, that went fast. How is it Thanksgiving already? The whole year is kind of a blur; finishing the book, choosing everything from the cover photo to the paper stock, figuring out the endpapers for both the US and UK versions. Then the book tour, and saying yes to more things than I probably should have. But I finally wrapped the travel part, and everything left on my agenda feels much more doable. Still… it all went really, really fast.
Now it’s time for Thanksgiving, where I got to host 34 family and extended family. It’s my favorite holiday.
I wanted to take a moment to talk about gratitude, thankfulness, and trying to live in the moment.
For me, it always starts with my family. The epicenter is my husband and my three kids, plus our extended family, and my whole posse.
I post about my family a lot, probably a little too much. But I also want to talk about my other posse. The people I met when I was first creating my family, mostly in the beautiful suburb of Montclair, New Jersey. I still feel so lucky that my husband and I are close with each and every one of them. They’re the ones I lean on, laugh with, and share all the growing-up and growing-older moments with.
And then there’s my work posse. Both my current team and the ones from the good old days. I’m grateful for all of you.

I’m grateful for my upbringing in Chicago, my family, my cousins, and where I came from.
And who knew how phenomenal it would be to be a grandparent? Now I get all the hype.
I’m thankful for Jones Road because it’s given me a new lease on life and so much joy. I love being inspired. I love being curious. I find inspiration everywhere, in color, pattern, conversation. It all sparks something in its own way. I’m grateful for my entire Jones Road team and excited for what’s next.
Words sometimes feel trite, and clearly I’m not a journalist…I’m just someone who likes to share and communicate. So I’ll end this grateful, thankful post with a lot of pictures, because they pretty much say it all.
And I’m thankful for you for reading my Substack.

Hey Bobbi!! I thought you might be interested in how I look, at age almost-79, with only your “Just Enough” moisturizer and “Miracle Balm” (and a little mascara and eyeliner.) Such great products!! Thank you for remembering that we’re not all 30. It doesn’t look like I can post a picture here, but you can check out my profile pic. Thanks again!!
