As a visual person, nothing calms me down more than walking into a room that’s organized and visually appealing. Maybe it comes from all my years behind the scenes at home shoots and getting ready at my own houses for various photo shoots. There’s usually a team of stylists—they get rid of the clutter, move things around, and just make everything look a little cleaner and better.
But I’m not gonna lie—it’s hard for me to always keep it that way, so sometimes I need a little help. One of the best things I’ve done recently is hire In the Fold to help me with a few projects inside my home and office
We started in my basement, and the room that was driving me the most crazy was what I call my archive room. It holds all my memorabilia—things I’ve saved from my career, along with years and years of family photos and keepsakes. I tend to save things like family ski passes and credentials that have taken me from inaugurations to concerts, the Super Bowl, the Golden Globes, and All-Star games.
Now, everything is in labeled boxes, so if I ever want to go down memory lane, I just open one up—and then I get to close it up again. And when I walk into the room and see the exact same boxes with the exact same labels and the exact same typeface—which, by the way, we carefully discussed—it instantly makes me feel calm.
The room is still a work in progress, and I have a lot more to do, but at least for now, I can open the door without feeling out of control or frustrated. And who knows—one day, I might put together some kind of retrospective where I need the very first thing I ever created or the notes I’ve saved from celebrities or kids I’ve met.

I called her back to my house to organize my bag room, where I store all my travel essentials. This time, it took less than four hours to get everything perfectly in place.

Her next stop was the Jones Road HQ. With over 50 people in the office, things can get a bit chaotic. Our back-of-house and my office closet have never looked better.
