Don’t compare yourself to anyone else. You’re cuter than you think 🥰

I took typing in 9th grade. And it’s the most useful class I ever took. My typing skills are what got me my first job right out of college.

Good stuff, but not the learning typing.

I've written three books and much besides and never learned to type. And I didn't use a pen or pencil.

It's a mystery how we all do it. How do we know where the letters are on the keyboard without 'learning'? But we do!

Amazing.

Very well said- I especially liked the ‘make your bed’ portion-

There is great (short) book titled ‘Make Your Bed’- & I gave it to my oldest grandsons when they graduated high school- it’s a good lesson for everyone!!!

I think I would have told myself not to drop out of economics and to take accounting. My math is decent though to do well but I was a rebel and didn’t want to take classes with math freaks.

I HAD to take it too, & I blocked my time as best I could!!

I was never a good or great typist. Who knew in the 60’s that we would need these skills today for computers & cell phones!!!

Pass this on to your kids & grandkids!!!

I would have told myself not to stress about my lack of progress in the standard education system, and there would come a day when you'd surprise yourself and everyone who ever doubted you.

Completely agree with making the bed, it's like adding punctuation to a morning!

All great suggestions. Reading through this, I was able to at least give myself a pat on the back for mastering (and also coming to the same realizations). Even though I've heard you refer to your height, I didn't realize until this post that you are just 5 feet tall. I'm just a few inches taller. You've always seemed bigger than life to me because of all your accomplishments. Keep the good stuff coming! I'm totally in love with Jones Road and it makes me feel very confident in myself still working and succeeding at 71!
