Are we talking about looks/how we feel about our appearance? I'm a short middle aged woman of Chinese heritage. As a teenager, I absolutely HATED being the short one. I was the shortest of all of my first cousins and more petite than even my mom. I'm okay looking (but had awful skin as a teen...I spent most of the 90s and early aughts using OXY pads/cleansers and 10-0-6 astringent) and look younger than my age. Small-framed, even now, and am only starting to get some bulge/chunkiness now that I'm in my 40s. And I'm still "light" compared to most people. That's just how I'm built (don't want to get into my shoe size, because, well, let's just say it's really Cinderella). Recently, I published my first children's book! And there's going to be at least one more. I published an Who Am I? post back in February.

You were strong from a young age (maybe you didn’t realize it at first)….to be able to change your mindset amongst those beauties takes an inner understanding and self acceptance that usually comes with age. But you realized, you too were beautiful and like all of us, has something unique to offer the world and those that will come after you. Thank you for all your years in support of women….beauty and brains!

I am me. For decades I struggled with self-esteem issues (among other things). I wore mostly baggy clothing unless I was doing some sort of performance (on stage in a courtroom, whatever). I did wear makeup but kept it on the down low. Nothing too obvious but it made me feel better. I finally accepted the fact that I am trans. Now I have a much better body self-image and feel much better about myself. Even the things that would have made me uncomfortable are not as big a deal anymore. When you accept and like who you are, your attitude changes. That said, if anyone knows where to buy size 12.5 everyday women’s shoes. Please comment.

Go Bobby go! I love your work. I am a mom to three college aged girls and wife of a kind, good man. I under achieved in my career (despite grad school and working at investment banks in NYC, it never went anywhere )that I went into with high hopes. Alas, after three kids in two years I got sidetracked (sidelined?). I have started several businesses, none all that successful but, they led me to grad (again) school to get my MFA. I am a professional painter with a studio but I am also a blogger. I am proud to interview women who have started something new at age 45, and beyond, that they are truly passionate about. The aim of Women's Survival Guide is to inspire and uplift women in that 'now what' time of life with positivity and humor. I think you might fit my interview parameters!

Bobbi, your message about beauty, having fun with it, and using makeup to enhance our unique beauty, has inspired me and my daughter, now in her twenties (she still remembers the teen beauty book you wrote, and it's still on the shelves, along with all of your wonderful, inspiring books filled with images of women of all ages who shine!). Thank you so very much. Love this new campaign, and the video. For me, my learning to say "I am me" relates especially to my hair. Half-Italian, adopted as a baby and growing up with wild, Mediterranean curly hair no one knew how to deal with, so it was always controlled, cut short at school and I always felt out of place next to my blonde, ponytailed friends and those with smooth, sleek hair. These things run deep - even, years later, as a beauty journalist in the 90s, I felt I had to blow-dry it smooth to fit the role of a serious beauty writer! (😂)Honestly, it took me taken me until my 40s to wear it super-wild and curly (and smooth it when I want to, for fun!) and say 'this is me'. ❤️

I love this video, all the women different but perfect in their own way. I love your products, I received my order of wtf and it’s amazing, my skin just drinks it up. And the grey brow pencil is exactly what I didn’t know I needed. Thank you!

I am me. I’ve never had any self esteem so envy those who do, especially those with nice teeth. I think a beautiful smile and a good personality can overcome any outward beauty flaws. I really don’t have a “me” I seem to adapt to what’s expected at the time. Anyway thank you for sharing your thoughts and your products.

One of the things I have always loved about you is that you have stayed true to yourself. And that is what has shaped your beauty philosophy. Some of that has rubbed off on me over the years and I’ve learned to embrace the things that make me, me. No matter what they are.

The I Am Me campaign certainly embodies that core philosophy.

Thank you for continuing to lead the way and remind us all that we are who we are, and the best thing we can do is to own it!
