What is Miracle Balm?
Miracle Balm lives up to its name. It's the key to achieving a no-makeup makeup look, giving a soft-focus layer of moisture that perfects and enhances your skin. This light-reflecting superproduct is incredibly versatile and easy to use. You can wear Miracle Balm on its own or layer it over foundation for a quick refresh.
How it started:
Miracle Balm was a happy accident. During the pandemic, I was contemplating some very special products that would allow me to do my makeup without it looking like I had makeup on. It was that time in the pandemic when we started going back to salons to get our hair done and just wanted makeup to look better.
When we were testing four shades of Miracle Balm before the launch, there was one tinted color that made my skin look hydrated with a little bit of moisture on my cheeks. It worked to correct my yellow skin, helped a friend tone down her redness, and gave a blonde friend a pinky glow on her cheeks. I gave my friends little round samples of the Miracle Balm, and each one of them called me and said, "I need more." I knew I had a winner.
We now have about 13 shades, with a few more in development, and some exclusive colors that will return for the holidays or special kits. It's definitely a new category for the beauty industry, and I couldn't be more proud.
The color rundown:
Here are the shade breakdowns to get you started.
Pinched Cheeks: a medium rosy pink with subtle multidimensional shimmer for fair to dark skin tones
Cocoa Bronze: a deep plummy bronze for medium to deep skin tones
Au Naturel: a clear balm with subtle opal pearl for all skin tones
Happy Hour: a cool, sheer pink with silver shimmer for light to medium tan skin tones
Dusty Rose: a cool, rosy pink sheer tint for fair to medium skin tones
Flushed: a cool pink with a subtle sheen and sheer to buildable coverage for all skin tones
Miami Beach: a warm peachy coral with subtle gold shimmer and sheer to buildable coverage for all skin tones
Golden Hour: a warm, sheer gold with multidimensional shimmer for all skin tones
Magic Hour: a cool, sheer bronze with silver shimmer for light to medium-dark skin
Bronze: a warm brown sheer to buildable tint for all skin tones
Tawny: a reddish/brown sheer to buildable tint for medium to dark skin tones
Sunkissed: a deep reddish bronze tint that is sheer to buildable for light to dark skin tones
How I use it:
If you want a simple look without shimmer or color, and prefer to go without foundation: choose Au Naturel.
A blush alternative: Miami Beach, Flushed, or Pinched Cheeks
For highlighting: Happy Hour (a cool-toned pinky and silvery hue), Magic Hour (a slightly cool, sheer bronzy shade that suits all skin tones), or Golden Hour (a warm, golden option).
For an all-over tint, choose from Sunkissed, Dusty Rose, or Cocoa Bronze.
Application:
1. Open the fresh package and break the seal to activate the color.
2. Use your fingertips to gently dip into the balm.
3. Carefully dig down to scoop out a small amount.
4. Transfer the balm to both sets of fingers.
5. Lightly rub your fingers together to warm the balm.
6. Begin dabbing the balm onto your cheeks, even if you plan to apply it all over.
PRO TIP: Avoid smearing or dragging the balm on your skin.
How much should I use?
A little goes a long way with Miracle Balm — a pea-sized amount covers your whole face.
For beginners, start with an even smaller amount. It's easier to add more if needed than to remove excess. Aim for using the minimal amount necessary.
Have “Flushed” and don’t walk out of the house without putting it on my cheeks. Love 💕 it!
Thank you for sharing this article. I love the way miracle balm feels on the skin. It’s so hydrating and beautiful. I bought all of the small jars and it was worth it. I gave the ones that don’t work for me away and I kept the ones that do. This product is absolute winner. Great job!!
