While I love my daily skincare products, I also make time to schedule more advanced treatments. Most recently I’ve been obsessed with Sofwave. This non-invasive procedure uses Ultrasound Parallel Beam Technology to lift the skin and boost collagen production in key areas like the jawline and neck. Just last week, I had a session.
This wasn’t my first Sofwave rodeo. In fact, I think it’s been my fourth or fifth treatment over the past two years. I was lucky enough to try Sofwave with Dr. Jason Pozner of Sanctuary Medical Aesthetic Center in Boca Raton, Florida. I’ve written about it before, but I’ll admit—I was scared at my first session. I had heard it hurt, and I’m a total wuss when it comes to pain. I probably drove Dr. Pozner and his nurses a little crazy. They were kind enough to give me something that melted under my tongue, instantly relaxing me while I numbed for an hour.
Honestly? It really wasn’t bad. Now, I actually look forward to the treatment because I’m not afraid anymore. It’s not exactly a tickle, but it’s completely bearable—especially when I opt for gas. And the best part? It’s over in just 15 minutes.
Dr. Pozner respects my thoughts on what I will and won’t do. He knows I’m not into Botox or fillers and never pushes them on me. Instead, he honors my approach to lift and rebuilding natural collagen. He also does a little add-on treatment to help fade my spots and even out my complexion using a laser called BBL Heroic.
I looked in the mirror on my way home, and I honestly liked what I saw. I wasn’t wearing a stitch of makeup or moisturizer—just a little sunscreen—but my skin looked good. My skin looked more even, my jaw looked tighter, and somehow, even the lines on my forehead (which only bother me sometimes) seemed less noticeable. Results usually take up to three months to fully develop, but I feel like I see the lifting sooner, probably because I’ve done this treatment multiple times.
Another unexpected bonus is the hour-long numbing process. Most people would use the time to scroll Instagram, watch a movie, or read a book, but I take the opportunity to do busy work I’ve been putting off. It’s rare uninterrupted time, and I love it. Days like this are awesome.
And, of course, there’s Dr. Pozner himself—so sweet, so funny, and completely in charge. He once recommended a more intense laser for when I had a few days to recover, but I’m not keen on having to stay home looking a little scary. Plus, my husband wouldn’t be a fan.
This is my ongoing journey—sharing what works, what’s simple, and what actually makes a difference. Full transparency: I’m invited to these treatments through Sofwave and truly appreciate the comp. But as you can see, I keep coming back, which says a lot.
As far as the pain goes, I’d rate it as minimal to medium, depending on your pain tolerance—even after numbing for an hour. Pricing varies across the country, so it’s worth doing your homework and saving some pennies. It’s not inexpensive, but I’m glad to have been able to do it so far.
Fingers crossed that one day, Sofwave develops an at-home laser wand. How nice would it be to keep up with these results from the comfort of home.

Thank you so much for sharing! Definitely a type of treatment I would do at such time I've got those extra pennies. It's more about doing a little spruce up versus fixing anything.
Going to research all of this! Thank you for sharing. No botox or filler for me either, but definitely in need of a little tlc for my face!
