I am inundated with information: what to eat, what not to eat, what vitamins to take, and what magic elixirs I should swallow. Depending on who I’m talking to and what their point of view is, I optimistically say, “Ok, sounds great.” I will either Instacart or digitally purchase with just a button.
Then, I end up with a motherload of bottles and jars that I can’t seem to fit into my lifestyle or remember why I even need them. So, with the help of my go-to functional nutritionist, Dr. Jaime Schehr, we broke down and simplified what each product is and how it works best for me.
She knows I don’t like swallowing pills. I’m not good at it and usually just don’t do it.
But I’m a great gummy gal. Here’s what is in my routine and my now much more organized cabinet:
I have been consistently taking these, and when I take a break, I do notice a difference. I take it right before my double espresso every morning. I don’t hate the way it tastes, and I kind of like it. My trick is to throw a mixing ball in it as I shake it up, and it breaks down the powder and goes down easy.
(Straws also help it go down quicker.)
2. Fish Oil
My two go-to’s are Nordic Naturals and Coromega. Delish. Dr Jaime told me how much to take, which is a bit more than what is shown on the box. I also add a drop of Liposomal Neurocalm by Designs for Health. It’s what I use to run my business and take care of my kids, life, and handsome hubby. It calms me down without being tired and helps me focus without any jitters. It’s great together.
3. Calm Gummies
At night before bed, I take four Calm Gummies in orange or raspberry. It helps me calm down, and as a bonus, gets me going in the morning…if you know what I mean.
4. Mind Body Green Sleep Vitamins
The only pill I can swallow is the Mind Body Green sleep vitamins. It has no melatonin, which isn’t an ingredient that my body likes.
That’s it, completely doable. Until someone makes a multivitamin in a potato chip, that’s all. Easy to pack and easy to take.
I’m working on remembering to take a digestion enzyme when I eat. It sits in my purse in a Sarah Coleman pill bottle.
Note: I’m not a doctor, so I’m not recommending you do what I do… but it is what I take. Do what works for you.
Sounds like you have some good ones there 😃
I’m an AG1 gal as well! I mix it with my Vital Proteins “Professional Daily Foundational Support” collagen & use a frother for fun 😁
I take the Nordic Naturals Fish oil soft gels. My doctor prefers those over the Gummies as they contain Erythritol.
