I dream of being a food prepper. My sister is a world-class one. But alas, I am always running from one thing to the next. When my mind catches up with my stomach, I need to eat… now. However, my well-fed digestive system is super picky, and I need things that are super quick with no preparation.
Here are some of my go-tos. (Keep an open mind)
Pacific Foods Organic Roasted Red Pepper & Tomato Soup

This might sound weird, but this creamy tomato-like soup is delish. Alone, it’s not the nutrient stack to keep you full, so I add in some things to help. I’m obsessed with cottage cheese. I add it after the soup is heated. (Horror, I know, but sometimes I’m extra lazy and warm it up in the microwave.) Then I add a fair amount of cracked pepper and Mary’s Gone Crackers for the crunch. It fills me up for a few hours until I add another mini meal.

High in protein and readily available, I always have one in my fridge. Sometimes I stand in front of my fridge wondering why there’s nothing to eat, even if it’s stuffed with leftovers. A few spoons into my mouth settle me down so I can focus on the task at hand and not dive into the bag of rice crackers or healthy chips I keep in the cupboard. I love that it’s organic. Shout out to Breakstone, which makes a no-salt cottage cheese that's not creamy and almost tastes tart, which I love too, especially on sourdough toast. I dream of a cottage cheese cheesecake or pudding but can’t follow a recipe, and my attempts haven’t worked.

Mary, I don’t know who you are, but these are my go-tos when I need a bit of crunch that fills me up when I am not having bread or pasta. I always need a carb with my meals, even though nutritionists say veggies are carbs. So I guess I should say I crave starch at all meals. Even a few bites of these crackers do the trick.

"New to my list and temporarily sold out! This is sooo good. Just add boiling water. I can do that. It’s bone broth-based with cellophane noodles and dried veggies. It's actually delicious and yummy. It fills me up and fuels me until my next mini meal, and I can skip the takeout lunches my work team orders every day. I hope Kroma comes out with a whole line of ready-made food. Just up my alley.

The gold standard of bone broths. I first discovered it in a well-known restaurant, Hearth, which sold cups of this liquid gold. I drink it plain sometimes in the afternoon instead of herbal tea. It has protein to sustain you and feels like a big hug from grandma.
Stars + Honey Collagen Protein Bar

Again, these are collagen-based bars, which are great sources of protein unless you are a vegan or pescatarian like my hubby. They taste great, and the best news is they have super clean ingredients and don’t give me a tummy ache like most others do.
this spoke to me. I eat the same way and have all of these products on hand except for the kroma ramen which I can't wait to try when it's back in stock. thank you for your straightforward posts! love reading them.
This soup and cottage cheese combo have been my #1 for years. I’ve received loads of slack for it so thanks for helping me feel not so alone. Try Parmesan cheese crisps as the top off instead of the crackers for an extra fun spank.
