I’ve always been a bit of an Anglophile. (If you’ve visited The George or our offices, I’m sure you’ve picked up on that.) There’s just something about the scene in London that I really love. We even ship Jones Road to the UK! I wanted to share a few of my favorite spots. I can’t wait to get back for a visit.
ANYA HINDMARCH CAFE
I’m a huge Anya Hindmarch fan (I love her planners and travel accessories), so I always make a point of stopping by her store. I’m excited to visit her new cafe on my next trip.
CONNAUGHT BAR
For a cocktail upon arrival, I always head to the Connaught Bar in Mayfair. The mixologists here are incredible and you’ll enjoy every sip.
ENDLESS GALLERY
I first spotted Endless’ work on a brick wall in London. I later found a gallery, where I’ve purchased a few paintings and I have my eye on so many more. Colorful, witty, vibrant, I can’t get enough of his work. Stop by and check it out.
DEAN STREET TOWNHOUSE, SOHO HOUSE HOTEL
One of my favorite places to stay when in London. The rooms are beautiful (and inspiring) and the restaurant is so good.
GRAYS ANTIQUE CENTRE
During one of my trips I found an incredible vintage Louis Vuitton trunk here and can’t wait to get back and see what else I can find. If you’re looking for high-end antiques and jewelry, this is the place.
DETOX KITCHEN
For healthy food, Detox Kitchen is my go-to. They have a cafe on Mortimer Street that is getting ready to reopen, but they also offer home meal delivery. The salads are some of the best I’ve ever had.
SOHO FARMHOUSE
If I could live at the Soho Farmhouse, I would do it in a heartbeat. I first visited back in 2019 and was blown away by the experience, the setting, and the food. There is no shortage of activities, but it’s also a great place to do nothing. You can go fishing, horseback riding, take a swim, play tennis, or relax at the Cowshed Spa. I’ll definitely be back.
OTTOLENGHI RESTAURANTS
You can’t go wrong with a reservation at any of Yotam Ottolenghi’s restaurants in London. Beautiful ingredients, bold flavors, and seriously delicious.
LIBERTY LONDON
It wouldn't be a trip to London without a stop at Liberty, which just so happens to be the home of Jones Road Beauty across the pond!Â
SCOTT'S
The destination for the best fresh seafood (and caviar) in Mayfair.
A visit to London shouldn’t omit a trip to Kew Gardens, and when I visited my London based daughters last weekend, we included lunch at Ma Cuisine just outside the tube station. Outstanding meal, reasonably priced cocktails, warm service, just the ticket!
If you like Ottolenghi and Farmhouse you’d love Daylesford - the main farm is in the Cotswolds but there’s a couple of stores in London. Best one is Marylebone xx
