Duryea’s
My Go To Order:
The food is served family style, and we almost always order the lobster cobb salad, which easily feeds 4-6 people. They have the world's best french fries, but I’m proud of myself because the last time we went, I didn’t take a single fry. Once I start, I could easily eat them all.
Our ordering often starts with oysters, then the cobb salad and fries. The family usually orders rosé, which is fine by me because I'm not a big fan. This way, I avoid drinking during lunch if I plan to have a cocktail at night. The crudité is a must-try—beautiful and perfect for munching on while waiting for the entrée.
Shoutout to Sebastian, who has launched his new handbag brand JS & Bruno on the beach. Check out the Instagram!
Sag Harbor Tavern
My Go To Order:
This one is pretty simple for me—it's the burger. I love everything they make. The chef Billy Durney is amazing. My dear friend Brian is one of the partners, and I often beg for last-minute reservations.
They make a delicious green salad and ,of course, a burger, which are my go-to items, and I love them. My husband usually orders the branzino. When I’m in the mood for something a bit richer, I’ll go for the caviar and eggs. It's also great for people-watching; I've seen everyone from Chef Dan Kluger to Eric Ripert.
Highway
My Go To Order:
This place is definitely a family and friends favorite. The Highway is one of our go-to spots. Peter, the manager, is an incredible host. I start with the best cocktail in the Hamptons—a blend of cucumber, lemon, and vodka- alla Bobbi Rocks, but they have their own twist on it. I’ll usually order the grilled asparagus for an appetizer. It’s quite filling, and I save half for dinner. It has the most delicious sauce. The balsam farm greens salad is great and local, and Steven is obsessed with the papaya and crab salad.
I also love the salmon, the burger, and especially the stir-fry chicken, which is really good. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu, and they have great specials. It's also a great place to spot someone you know or recognize.
Lulu Kitchen and Bar
My Go To Order:
First, shoutout to Josh, the manager. What we love from here is the cauliflower steak—which is big enough to share. The branzino is excellent. They have great oysters, and my favorite dish is the roasted chicken with kale. It comes with a delicious sauce that is so filling. I’ll definitely order it next time.
The heirloom tomato salad is also beyond tasty. The lemon, olive oil, and salt dressing is so good that I dunk the sourdough crust in it.
Another shoutout to the steak and chili sauce.
Le Bilboquet
My Go To Order:
Last but not least, this place offers probably the craziest people-watching in all of the Hamptons—so over the top. People from all over the globe gather here. If you want to see a scene, this is the place. However, the food is also fantastic. I can order clean and delicious dishes. The salad is great, the seafood is wonderful, and the burgers are excellent.
Their golden rule. Yes, we try to take it up a a notch!
Any nearby hotels you could recommend in the Hamptons?
I am so hungry reading this Bobbi! I used to love going to the farm stands, when I was a personal chef, the summer produce is so delicious! Enjoy ❤️ xo Carla
